A full-scale renovation in Hawthorn East, this remarkable home is a masterclass in cohesive design by the talented team at Studio Mira. Every room tells its own story—rich with colour, texture, and personality—yet flows seamlessly as one unified vision. Through carefully specified window furnishings, TipTop Blinds helped bring each space to life, enhancing both the architectural bones and the layered interior styling. From the moment you enter, it's clear this is a home where detail matters.

A Statement in the Formal Living Room
The formal living room sets a bold tone, wrapped in hues of rust, velvet, and warm orange. Here, S-fold sheer curtains in a luxe linen 'Mocam' fabric are elevated on black decorative rods with classic ball finials. It's a striking juxtaposition—traditional hardware paired with a clean, contemporary S-fold heading—creating a look that feels both timeless and fresh. The softness of the sheer fabric diffuses light beautifully, adding warmth and movement to an already richly layered space.

Seamless Continuity in the Second Sitting Room
Flowing from the formal living zone, the second sitting room shifts into a calming palette of olive greens. While the mood changes, continuity is maintained through the same window treatment—black decorative rods with ball finials and softly puddling linen sheers in an asphalt white tone. This thoughtful repetition ties the open-plan areas together, allowing each room to express its individuality without disrupting the overall harmony of the home.
Refined Simplicity in the Family Room
In contrast, the family room embraces a more pared-back aesthetic. Narrow windows called for a minimalist solution, achieved with sleek roller blinds in a light-filtering fabric. To elevate the finish, bonded pelmets were introduced—concealing hardware and delivering a clean, architectural line. The result is understated yet considered, proving that simplicity, when executed well, can feel just as luxurious.

The master bedroom is nothing short of breathtaking—a true highlight of the project. Here, Studio Mira's ability to balance traditional and contemporary elements is on full display. Sumptuous S-fold drapery in a thick, stonewashed linen (Mokum Satori) is paired with full blockout lining, creating both visual drama and complete privacy. Generously puddling onto the carpet, the curtains introduce a sense of softness and indulgence, while the natural linen texture keeps the look grounded and modern. It's a space designed not just to be seen, but to be felt—rich, calming, and deeply atmospheric.
